Utopia IV Infusions is under the direction of a Texas-licensed medical doctor. While we do not accept insurance, we gladly accept payment by credit card, debit card, check, cash, HSA and FSA cards.
Depending on the patient and what you receive, our IV appointments usually take anywhere from 30-60 minutes.
Frequency varies by your health goals—some clients receive IV therapy weekly, others monthly or as needed. Many patients find that getting an IV at the first sign of a migraine or sickness will lessen it's severity or prevent it altogether!
We are able to treat patients who are ages 13 and older. The patient must voluntarily consent to IV therapy and be able to receive the IV and infusion without physical restraint or undue difficulty.
We have a large variety of patients that we see. General illness, fatigue, and dehydration are our most frequently seen patients, along with hangovers & food poisoning.
Before your first IV drip, you’ll meet with one of our licensed medical professionals to review your health history and ensure an IV drip is safe for you. While most clients are great candidates, certain conditions may prevent someone from receiving an IV drip — such as severe heart, liver, or kidney disease; or specific metabolic or genetic disorders. Your safety always comes first, and our team will guide you in choosing the safest, most effective wellness option for your needs.
IV therapy for hospice patients is focused on comfort and quality of life, not curative treatment. Infusions may be given to ease symptoms like dehydration or fatigue, only under medical supervision and in coordination with the hospice care team to ensure the patient’s comfort and dignity remain the top priority.
Our medical professionals are highly experienced in IV placement and use techniques and products designed to minimize discomfort. Because our services are elective rather than emergency-based, we can take the time needed to find the best vein for IV access. In the rare event that IV access cannot be established, intramuscular (IM) medications may still be an option to meet your needs.
